Baby Butt Care

If you are a parent, you’ve been there & done that! We all hate when it happens but it does; whether it’s teething or just a I’m-here-for-no-reason diaper rash we have to deal with it. But how?

I don’t know about you but I don’t use diaper creams daily like it’s “recommended” I just don’t see a reason for it. If you change your baby’s wet diaper every so often, there’s absolutely no reason your child’s tush should get irritaed. When I do use the “butt cream” it’s Tender Tush by  YLEO. It’s all natural and so versatile. I actually used it for stretchmarks when I was prego, on a sunburn in the summer (even on my face) and on 2-3 occasions I did use it as chapstick!!! Yes, I put mu baby’s but cream on my lips – it’s just so moisturising. Would you do that with yours? I mean just look at the ingredients – I wish my face cream had all these goodies in it!

Coconut (Cocos nucifera) oil, cocoa (Theobroma cacao) butter, beeswax, wheat germ oil, olive (Olea europaea) oil, almond (Prunus amygdalus dulcis) oil, and the essential oils† of sandalwood (Santalum album)†, rosewood (Aniba rosaeodora)†, Roman chamomile (Chamaemelum nobile)†, lavender (Lavandula angustifolia)†, cistus ladanifer, blue tansy (Tanacetum annum)† and frankincense (Boswellia carteri)†.
† Pure therapeutic-grade essential oil.

Downside to this product? IT’S NOT AVAILABLE IN EUROPE! So when I run out of it I just use YL Lavender Oil.

Here’s the thing, people  often ask me how I dilute my oils, what ratio, what carrier oils I use… the truth is that I don’t. Noah is my lil oily munchkin and I’ve been using NEAT oils on him since he was born. Never had any undesired reaction or irritation. Common Sense Alert (seems like it’s needed around my house)- I don’t apply neat oils on him that I wouldn’t apply on me; this goes for the hot oils such as oregano, clove etc. (even though they may not burn babies as much as they burn us – less crap in their little bodies). However, ON FEET- EVERYTHING NEAT!

So, when Noah gets a diaper rash I apply lavender on his tush, neat. Now, if you want to dilute it – that’s perfect. Kids are very sensitive and receptive to oils so you really don’t need much of it to see the difference. Dilute it with extra virgin coconut, almond, jojoba, hip rose, or whatever you may have on hand. Make sure it’s pure and natural (no synthetics added).

Good luck!
