1.Get up earlier
As difficult as it may sound it’s a day saver for me! If you start off your day running around in the midst of the chaos that may be preparing breakfast for the kids, getting them dressed and ready, the odds are that you are not going to be able to relax as easily and will be a lot more stressed all throughout the day. Sometimes getting up even 15-30 min earlier will do the trick. It will give you enough time to get YOURSELF ready, have your morning water, tea, or coffee and when your kids wake up you will be all set to take on the world and have your time and attention dedicated 100% to them. If you give yourself more time when the rascals are asleep you can make magic happen! I prepare breakfast when Noah is asleep and clean the kitchen so I don’t have to do that later, clean the floors and whatever toys are left from the previous night, pop a load of laundry in and voila’! If I’m free and able to take care of Noah between breakfast and daycare, we do things that don’t require taking out ALL of the toys again, so I save myself clean up time as well.
